We have year 2014. In the post-apocalyptic world, due to some unfortunate events, Dean and Castiel get separated and are trying to find each other. After some time they succeed but unfortunately Dean already got infected by Croatoan virus. Castiel realizes it's just a matter of time before Dean turns into evil and that he'll have to kill him but can't force himself to do this as they're friends/lovers (really, it's up to you how you interpret this). Cas decides to provoke Dean to attack him, he knows it'll be just easier when Dean's all mad and not acting human. In the end Cas kills him and we see as he, all heartbroken and full of sorrow, watches Dean in his heaven
